Join us as we kick off WHM in South Orange and Maplewood at Maplewood Town Hall on Tuesday, March 5th beginning with a WHM flag raising at 7:15 on the front lawn of Town Hall. Then, we’ll move inside to the Township Committee meeting where after opening the meeting will read the WHM proclamation. This is always a beautiful moment to pause, read how far women have come (and how far we still have to go) and recognize our local elected women leaders who serve or have served our community. We will be joined by a representative from Congresswoman Mikey Sherrill’s office (the Congresswoman will be in DC) and then all women present will pose for a big group photo. Please join us for this brief recognition before our regular meeting continues, wear white if you can and be ready to smile for the camera!
